The Mojito originated from Havana in the late 19th century and gained popularity in the 1930’s. It’s made of mint, cane sugar, and rum; similar to a Mint Julep.
Named after Hemingway’s nickname in Cuba, it is a variation of the Daiquiri Floridita exchaging the lime juice with grapefruit juice.
Arguably the most famous version of the daiquiri, it also uses maraschino liqueur and served frozen.
