Invented by South Beach, Florida bartender Cheryl Cook in 1985/86, her original recipe called for “Absolut Citron, a splash of triple sec, a drop of roses lime and just enough cranberry to make it oh so pretty in pink”.

It was popularized in the 1990s after being mentioned as a favorite in the program Sex and the City.

ingredients

1 1/2 measures absolut citron
1 measure triple sec
1 measure cranberry juice
1/2 measure rose's lime cordial

glasses

Cocktail / Martini Glass

method

pour the vodka (or absolute citron), triple sec, cranberry and lime into a cocktail shaker filled with ice
pour into chilled martini glass
garnish with a twist of orange or lemon peel
